The AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave is an adaptive servo-ventilator (ASV) designed to stabilise ventilation in adult patients with central sleep apnoea (CSA) in all its forms. CSA is caused by reduced sensitivity to abnormal oxygen levels, leading to irregular breathing patterns. Unlike obstructive sleep apnoea, which is due to airway blockage, CSA arises from irregular brain-to-lung signaling. This device is capable of treating both CSA and obstructive events.

It features the clinically proven PaceWave algorithm and offers two treatment modes:

ASVAuto Mode: Adapts to ventilatory and upper airway stability needs on a breath-by-breath basis. It uses auto-adjusting pressure support and expiratory positive airway pressure (EPAP) to quickly stabilise respiration.

ASV Mode: Uses a fixed, clinician-set EPAP to maintain airway patency while delivering adaptive servo-ventilation.
