Types of ResMed Machines

The CPAP machine is one that provides fixed pressure, which allows for the delivery of consistent airflow pressure. These are the go-to sleep apnea treatment machines and the ResMed variety includes the AirSense 10 and AirSense 11.
The APAP machine is similar to the CPAP machine but it is auto-adjusting which allows it to change the air pressure throughout the night to accommodate changes in sleeping position and changes of the stage of sleep. ResMed offers APAP machines in its AirSense 10 and AirSense 11 catalogues.
The 2 air pressure machine, known as the Bi Level, is designed for those who have difficulty adjusting the airflow pressure. This device includes a higher pressure level for inhaling and a lower pressure for exhaling, and this helps to improve breathing comfort.
